The Birth of the Man Child is the Manifestation of the Sons of God

I believe that even now the woman in Revelation 12 is travailing to bring forth the man child.  The dragon shall not devour this child.

What am I talking about?  Well, here is a portion of the passage in Revelation:

Revelation 12:1-5  And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:   And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.   …and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.   And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

The man child represents the endtime sons of God who have grown up to receive their place as joint-heirs with Christ.  In Romans chapter 8, this event is called the manifestation of the sons of God.

Romans 8:14-25  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. … 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.  18 ¶ For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.  19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.  …  21 Because the creature (creation) itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.  22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.  23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.  24 for we are saved by hope: … 25 but if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Many years ago when I was a teenager, I heard this message.  I earnestly prayed to be part of the believers who make up the woman, to spiritually travail in prayer and spiritually to bring forth the son who would rule with God.  I also hoped and prayed to be a member of the man child company.  How could I ask for both?  Because each  is a corporate body, and they have, not simultaneous, but successive missions.

Now I believe that the man child company will come from a combined father and son generation.  The prophet Malachi spoke of such a time, “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:   And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers”  Malachi 4:5-6   The fathers who have come through the wilderness in faith like Joshua and Caleb will join the children born in the wilderness.  Together, as the man child company, they will go in and possess the land of promise.  This correlates to receiving their place as joint-heirs with Christ, as well as to the man child being caught up unto God and to his throne.

These people who are “caught up unto God, and to his throne” do not physically leave the earth.  They walk in the authority of God as Jesus did in his earthly ministry.  They live in heaven and on earth at the same time, just as Jesus described when he called himself, “the Son of man which is in heaven.”  John 3:13  He was on earth, yet he was in heaven at the same time.  Heaven is not a geographical location, neither is it a state of mind.  Heaven is a place of the spirit and of spiritual authority. [More about that in a later post.]

Jesus told us, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.   And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”  John 14:12-13

There will be a people who glorify the Father in the Son.
