BOOK- He Who Bleeds

He Who Bleeds,
A Systematic Theology of Intercession
by Susan Ector Ward

A theology of intercession?  He who intercedes bleeds.

Book cover FrontWard opens the curtain into the Holy of Holies and invites us all to walk in.

What is inside that mysterious room?

It is a place of bleeding and healing.  As our Lord has gone before us, He calls us to join Him beyond the curtain into the room of intercession.

He Who Bleeds describes our Savior.  So if Jesus is the image of the invisible God, then can we not see the character of the Invisible God in our Savior Jesus Christ?

He is The God Who Bleeds.

He is calling us to join Him in a special place.

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter
into the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus

Hebrews 10:19

What happens inside that Most Holy Place?

The Holy of Holies has one function.
It is the place where intercession is made.

He Who Bleeds is a call to intercessors.

The LORD saw it, and it displeased him
that there was no justice.  And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor.
Isaiah 59:15-16

There was no justice.
There was no intercessor.

Innocent victims all over the globe in the 21st century
cry for justice.  God wants justice.

 God looks for intercessors!

The Warrior Maiden – A Poem

Brandishing burnished Sword
Transparent in armour of Light
There stands the Warrior Maiden
Prepared for the darkest of night.

A curtain sliced through;
A way opened up;
Enters the Maiden
And drains the bloody cup.

Her life on the Altar
Long now has lain,
But up she has risen
Atonement to gain

For those who have hurt her
By whom she was slain.
She calls to the Judge,
“Forgive them my pain.”

Light pierces through;
The Earth opens up;
Stands forth her Beloved,
“You have drunk of my Cup.”

The two who are one
All infirmities feeling
Now spread out their hands
In forgiveness and healing.
